Claire & Richard’s Palm House Wedding took place on the 13th of August 2016.
It was all very calm and peaceful in Claire’s apartment overlooking Sefton Park. Claire looked stunning in her wedding gown, even she was taken back by how elegant she looked. Her bridesmaids looked beautiful in a deep shade of blue complete with a delicate lace finish. The silk flowers for the bouquets had been beautifully put together and complimented the dresses perfectly. It was so lovely to be with Claire, the girls, mum and dad that morning.
With the time I set aside before the ceremony, I headed over to find the boys and they all looked very dapper indeed with their very stylish suits.
The couple were married at St Charles & St Thomas More Roman Catholic Church situated on Aigburth road. Built on the site of the less-well known iron church, which was constructed from corrugated iron sheets and painted a nonchalant green. The St Charles & St Thomas More RCC has been beautifully maintained. This is demonstrated by its marrying of marble, sandstone and stourton stone walls which help to create a palette of light making it a joy to work with. The ceremony was very emotional with beautiful readings from close family members.
The day was full of glorious sunshine and the beautiful grade 2 listed Palm House in Liverpool’s Sefton Park made a stunning setting for Claire & Richard’s wedding. The historic Palm House was first opened in 1896, and is home to an exotic collection of plants and palm trees. Claire had taken great care and had paid such attention to detail along with the venue to ensure it looked just perfect for a summer wedding. The evening got into full swing with a fantastic band and everyone found their party feet and danced the night away.
After Claire and richard’s first dance, I was surprised by the ‘rugby gang’ when they formed a ring around the happy couple and chanted to Sloop John B ……. So hoist up the John B’s sail!
A very beautiful wedding, with a very beautiful couple!
I wish my two friends Claire and Richard every happiness in their marriage.
